Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Scheduler to lead schedule development for large-scale data center projects in Kuala Lumpur. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, validate contractor timelines and monitor schedule risks using industry-standard tools.

The role requires 10+ years in scheduling and a deep understanding of CSA/MEP construction sequences, Primavera P6, MS Project and MS Office. Fluent English is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in project management, engineering or similar function.
• 10+ years' experience in scheduling and project planning.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and overall schedule understanding.

Responsibilities

• Manage multi-disciplinary construction project schedules (design, engineering, construction, commissioning).
• Collaborate with facility owners, supply management and contractors to identify pull-in opportunities.
• Evaluate and monitor schedule risks using S-curve, SRA or equivalent methods.
• Define critical paths and produce KPI reports, lookahead and progress indicators.
• Lead schedule review sessions with project team and stakeholders to mitigate delays.
• Maintain historical data for realistic future planning and forecasting.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Manage multi-disciplinary construction project schedules including design, engineering, construction, Commissioning and integration of contractor's schedule
• Partner with key stakeholders including facility owners and global supply management and site construction contractors, etc to look for pull in opportunities
• Work directly with the schedulers from the various general contractors & design build teams to evaluate and monitor schedule risks using Earned Value Method (S curve) Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) or other industry widely accepted approach
• Define and analyze Project critical paths across all schedules and project stages and be able to produce reports, KPI metrics, float trends, lookahead reports, etc.
• Facilitate interactive planning and schedule review sessions with the project team as well as key stakeholders to walk through the critical path, showcase the critical activities and work with team to mitigate schedule delays
• Identify critical milestones from overall schedule
• Validate Contractor approaches/schedule's logic, duration and activities while measuring and reporting of progress against schedule including analysis of project documents to identify potential project impacts
• Consolidate progress reports for management review including preparation of appropriate project schedule indicators.
• Establish, implement and adhere to Schedule Change Control process including review and agreement of impact of project and scope changes to ensure control is incorporated in the overall project schedule and progress measurement system.
• Accumulate and access historical data for use in maintaining realistic future planning and forecasting.

Qualifications

• Degree qualifications in project management, engineering or similar function.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in scheduling, project planning, preferably with data center or high-tech semiconductor background.
• Proficient in the use of Primavera P6 software and overall schedule understanding.
• In-depth knowledge of construction sequences of data centre (CSA and MEP) and able to both challenge the General Contractor in their construction timeline and proactively advocate for more efficient construction methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and high pressure environment, to meet often tight deadlines, and to work pro-actively as part of a committed team
• Working knowledge of MS Project and MS Office suite of products.
• Fluent in spoken and written English
