Job summary

Bosch Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Planner to join our team in Penang. This role focuses on aligning demand and supply, securing raw material availability, and planning replenishment to support production efficiency and on-time deliveries.

You will use SAP, BY, and Power BI to monitor KPIs and deliver management-ready reports, while collaborating across functions to mitigate risks in our growing semiconductor and electronics operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field preferred.
• Hands-on experience with SAP is essential.
• Proficiency with planning tools (BY) and reporting software (Power BI).
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Experience in logistics, supply chain or production planning.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer forecasts into concrete logistics requirements and plan inbound/outbound schedules.
• Secure raw material availability and plan replenishment for optimized production utilization.
• Define inventory parameters including safety stock and reorder points.
• Establish and maintain logistics and production KPI reports and participate in regular performance review meetings.
• Proactively identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Handle all customs inbound & outbound monthly reporting.
• Utilize SAP, BY, and Power BI to monitor performance and provide management-ready reports.

Bosch has been present in Malaysia since 1923, represented by Robert Bosch Sdn Bhd. In Malaysia, Bosch is active in four business sectors: Mobility Solutions, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods, and Energy and Building Technology. The company has three manufacturing sites and research and development offices in Penang, producing automotive electronics, power tools and steering systems, and soon a fourth plant with a final testing centre for sensors and semiconductors. In 2020, Bosch Malaysia generated consolidated sales of RM 518.4 million (108.1 million euros) and currently employs more than 4,000 associates. PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction began in May 2021, and first series of production commenced in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities. Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Planner to join our team.

What You Will Do:

• Align Demand & Supply: Translate customer forecasts into concrete logistics requirements, planning inbound raw material arrivals and outbound delivery schedules.

• Production Planning: Secure raw material availability to prevent production line-down situations and plan replenishment schedules that support optimized production utilization.

• Inventory Strategy & Management: Define and manage key inventory parameters, including safety stock levels, reorder points, and overall replenishment strategies.

• Performance Monitoring: Establish and maintain logistics and production KPI reports, leading and supporting regular performance review meetings to drive continuous improvement.

• Risk & Contingency Planning: Proactively identify potential supply chain risks (e.g., material delays, transport disruptions) and develop mitigation plans to handle emergencies effectively.

• Customs & Compliance: Handle all customs inbound & outbound monthly reporting and ensure adherence to all relevant regulations.

• Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize tools like SAP, BY, and Power BI to monitor performance and provide management-ready reports on key metrics such as inventory levels and delivery performance.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring to the Team:

• Proven experience in a logistics, supply chain, or production planning role.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

• Hands-on experience with SAP is essential.

• Proficiency with planning tools (e.g., BY) and reporting software (e.g., Power BI) is a strong advantage.

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
