Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience as a Piping Engineer.
• Conversant with P&ID, GAD, and 3D Models.
• Experienced in Quality testing and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Attend project meetings and site inspections.
• Liaise with vendors and consultants.
• Coordinate piping and ducting works with Project Manager.

You will play an important role in the construction of a new pharmaceutical facility in Nusajaya, Johor Bahru and involved in M&E contact administration

1. Attend to regular projects meetings

2. Liaise with relevant vendors

3. Liaise with fellow consultants

4. Attend to site inspection, site visit

5. To study all piping and ducting layout with regards to Process Engineering and utilities services and liaise with the client, consultant, internally, etc. to ensure proper work is carried out by the vendors/contractors.

6. Coordinate all piping and ducting works with Project Manager to ensure correct instructions are given to vendors.

7. To ensure proper scheduling of piping/ducting works.

8. To ensure proper Management of costs and timely completion and to prepare COP, site progress reports, etc.

9. To ensure proper documentation with regards to POs, CMFIs, Construction drawings, ‘As-built’ drawings, test reports, catalogues, etc. and to ensure timely handling over to Biocon at the end of project.

10. To carry out any duties as and when instructed by the Management Team.

Skills and Qualifications

- Tertiary education background in Mechanical Engineering

- At least 8 years’ experience as Piping Engineer

- Conversant in understanding P&ID, GAD and 3D Models.

- Must have Piping execution experience.

- Familiar with Piping Quality testing - Material Identification, Welding, Supports, Pneumatic & Hydrotest, Insulation and handing over documentations.

- Must be conversant on black piping, clean piping and process piping; then usage, pipe materials and system

- In addition to technical knowledge, candidate should be "hands-on"

- Command good level of English

- Well versed in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)

- Able to work under pressure under minimum supervision

- Must be able to work at SILC Nusayaja
