Job summary

KPJ Kajang Specialist Hospital is seeking a physiotherapist to perform delegated professional duties with a focus on high-quality patient care. Responsibilities

• Carry out professional physiotherapy duties as delegated by HOS.

• Record faults in equipment and ensure corrective action.
• Participate in quality improvement or new service initiatives.
• Engage in continuous education to upgrade skills and knowledge.
• Adhere to safety, health and IMS/Hospital policies.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• To carry out professional physiotherapy duties as delegated by HOS.
• Exact duties will normally vary on rotational basis but every effort will be taken to follow stated CPD needs and objectives of individual staff.
• Ensure appropriate professional assessment, care and attention given to all patients.
• To maintain internationally recognized standard of physiotherapy practice.
• To ensure appropriate recording of any incident/accident involving patients or family members under care of physiotherapist.
• To record any fault in any equipment/machine and ensure appropriate action is taken and followed up.
• Ensure actively participate in quality improvement or initiative activities or any other new service that is introduced by the department.
• Ensure continuous education to upgrade professional skills and knowledge in physiotherapy.
• To take reasonable care at work for the safety of yourself and another person.
• To co-operate with your employer or any other person in the discharge of any duty.
• To wear or use any protective equipment or clothing provided by the employer.
• To comply with any instructions or measure on occupational safety and health.
• Ensure all policies and procedures of Integrated Management System (IMS), and / or Hospital Accreditation are adhered to and records maintained, if and when these programs are implemented.
• Ensure the policies on patient’s and family’s rights are addressed at all times.
• Ensure compliance to Patient’s safety goals as safety improvement measures recommended by World Alliance for Patient Safety (2008).
• Ensure adhere to Standard People Practice (SPP).
• Ensure to actively participate in al 5S activities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
• Possession of a valid Practicing Certificate issued by the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC) (or equivalent national body).
• 2 years of clinical experience, 5 years or more experience in a hospital, ambulatory care, or related setting.
