Qualifications

• At least 2 years of software development experience using PHP with Laravel.
• Proficiency in PHP (Laravel), MySQL, Linux, and Apache.
• Good command of spoken and written Mandarin and English.

Responsibilities

• Development of all server-side logic and maintenance of the central database.
• Ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
• Cooperating with PMs and designers during development cycles.

We are looking for a PHP Developer responsible for managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Diploma holder or higher qualifications in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related disciplines.
• Proficiency in PHP (Laravel), MySQL, Linux, Apache (LAMP), Redis.
• Knowledge in GIT, MVC, OOP, and LAMP server administration is an advantage.
• Knowledge in PHP frameworks such as Laravel and microservices is an added advantage.
• Knowledge in Cloud platform services such as ECS, K8s, RDS, Redis, Cloud storage is an advantage.
• Hardworking, self-motivated, able to work independently and under pressure.
• At least 2 years of software development experience using PHP with Laravel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Great team player with a positive can-do attitude.
• Cooperates with other parties, e.g., PMs, designers. Good time management in development cycles.
• Good command of spoken and written Mandarin and English. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Nice to have:

• Exposure to Docker in production (Kubernetes, EKS), modern DevOps practices (QA automation, Terraform, etc.), and working knowledge of CI tools and processes.
• Experience working with a modern PHP framework (Symfony, Laravel).
• Experience with high transaction volume systems, and knowledge in resolving DB write deadlocks.
