AIMST University is seeking a motivated PhD Graduate Research Assistant for a 36-month, full-time research appointment in Malaysia. The project focuses on developing next-generation microbial biofertilizers for sustainable rice production, including genome-guided strain selection and seed coating technology.

Formación

• Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Agricultural Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree with First Class Honours (CGPA ≥3.70) in a relevant discipline.
• Foundational knowledge of microbiology, molecular biology, and laboratory techniques.
• Experience in microbial genomics or bioinformatics is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct literature reviews to inform project design and objectives.
• Perform laboratory experiments and characterize beneficial bacterial strains.
• Analyze genomic and experimental data for insights on biofertilizer formulations.
• Develop and evaluate microbial biofertilizer formulations; conduct stability studies.
• Prepare research outputs: publications, presentations, and project reports.
• Collaborate with academic and industry partners on the funded project.
