Job summary

Monash University Malaysia seeks an outstanding PhD candidate to join a translational research project in Functional Foods and Metabolic Health. The project investigates how functional foods regulate insulin secretion and skeletal muscle glucose uptake to improve metabolic health.

You will work within the School of Pharmacy, Bandar Sunway, and contribute to diabetes research, glucose regulation, and translational evaluation of functional foods.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree with First Class Honours.
• Degree in Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, Biology, Pharmaceutical Science or related field.
• Meet the PhD entry requirements of the School of Pharmacy, Monash University Malaysia.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Demonstrated excellence, motivation and self-drive in research pursuits.

Responsibilities

• Investigate translational evaluation of functional foods regulating insulin secretion and skeletal muscle glucose uptake.
• Study functional foods’ role in glucose regulation and metabolic health.
• Contribute to diabetes research and translational research activities.
• Collaborate within the Monash University Malaysia School of Pharmacy.
