Job summary

AA Pharmacy Healthcare Sdn Bhd is seeking a Pharmacist Assistant to join our Johor Bahru team. This full-time, on-site position supports pharmacists in daily operations, including dispensing medicines, preparing prescriptions, and assisting with basic compounding under supervision.

You will maintain accurate records, organize inventory, ensure product availability, and uphold safety and quality standards while delivering courteous customer service to shoppers.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge in Pharmacy and Medicine.
• Experience in supporting Pharmacy Technicians and pharmacists.
• Experience in Compounding under supervision.
• Strong Customer Service and communication skills.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Proficiency in English and local languages is advantageous.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist Assistant role based in Johor Bahru. The Pharmacist Assistant will support pharmacists in daily operations, including dispensing medicines, preparing prescriptions, and assisting with basic compounding under supervision. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, organizing inventory, ensuring product availability, and upholding safety and quality standards. The role also involves providing courteous customer service, answering basic health-related inquiries, and helping customers locate suitable products in line with professional guidance. The successful candidate will contribute to a clean, organized pharmacy environment and collaborate with the team to ensure efficient, compliant, and customer-centered service.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Pharmacy and Medicine, with an interest in community healthcare.
• Candidates should possess practical skills in supporting Pharmacy Technicians and pharmacists, including prescription handling and basic dispensing.
• Candidates should possess skills in Compounding under supervision, following proper procedures and safety standards.
• Candidates should possess strong Customer Service skills, including clear communication, patience, and a helpful attitude toward diverse customers.
• Additional beneficial qualifications include a relevant certificate or diploma in pharmacy-related studies, familiarity with pharmacy regulations, attention to detail, and the ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a retail healthcare setting, basic computer skills for point-of-sale and inventory systems, and proficiency in English and local languages are advantageous.
