Job summary

Purina Petcare Malaysia in Petaling Jaya is seeking a field sales professional to execute growth plans in the Pet Specialty Channel, including Breeders and Online Pet Shops, and to deliver sustainable growth for retailers.

You will manage a portfolio, ensure trade spend compliance, training, and regular reviews with retailers; expand coverage to breeders, vets, and online shops; and lead a field sales team with strong communication and ownership.

Qualifications

• Minimum diploma in any related discipline.
• SPM qualification accepted for sales representatives with minimum 5 years of experience
• 3–5 years in marketing or sales with successful KPI delivery
• Customer Management experience is an added advantage
• Understanding of all sales functions, including CCSD, Customer, and Field
• Experience managing a Field Sales team
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• High ownership, resilience, and results orientation

Responsibilities

• Execute growth plans and activities in the Pet Specialty Channel, including Breeders and Online Pet Shops
• Deliver long-term sustainable and profitable growth for retailers and Purina Petcare Malaysia
• Manage throughput sales and brand performance for the assigned customer portfolio
• Ensure compliance of trade spend within allocated budgets defined by the BDM
• Ensure product distribution and merchandising standards meet guidelines
• Track and share weekly MHL/KMA/Sell-In performance with the BDM every Monday
• Advise retailers, understand business-owner needs, and maintain customer intimacy
• Sell and negotiate buy-in to the Retailer Incentive Programme
• Conduct quarterly business reviews for the top 10 customers
• Conduct regular product training for retailers and their staff
• Ensure 100% customer coverage and required call frequencies
• Maintain the customer database
• Expand coverage among Breeders, Vets, and Online Pet Shops as defined by the BDM
