Job summary

Hong Leong Bank in Malaysia is seeking a diligent Personal Loan Officer to evaluate, recommend and approve personal loan applications in line with Policies and SOPs. You will monitor Impaired Loan (IL) and Net Credit Loss (NCL) metrics and manage reworks from sales personnel.

You will also ensure timely reporting/escalation of suspicious and fraudulent applications, and participate in process improvements and knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or professional qualification; 1–2 years in related field.
• CCP certification is an advantage; banking/loan experience preferred.
• Experience in evaluating consumer loan applications and adherence to SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, recommend and approve personal loan applications per SOPs.
• Maintain booking quality by monitoring IL and NCL metrics.
• Manage reworks and appeals from sales personnel.
• Ensure timely reporting and escalation of suspicious and fraudulent applications.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
