Job summary

Virtual Calibre Sdn Bhd is seeking a Tester to plan, design, and execute testing across performance or automation tracks. The role focuses on ensuring quality, reliability, and performance of software applications while collaborating with developers, analysts, and project teams.

The candidate will work on either performance testing (load and scalability) or automation testing (CI/CD integration) with on-site requirements in Kuala Lumpur.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field is required.
• 2–5 years of software testing experience (adjust per seniority) is preferred.
• Solid understanding of STLC and SDLC.
• Experience writing clear test plans, cases and defect reports.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Azure DevOps, HP ALM).
• Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and testing.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements to design test plans, scenarios and cases.
• Execute tests per timelines and quality standards; log defects with steps.
• Collaborate with developers and business analysts to clarify requirements and validate fixes.
• Prepare and maintain test data, environments, and documentation.
• Track and report testing progress, defects, and coverage to stakeholders.
• Participate in planning, estimation and risk assessment for modules.
• Support regression testing and re-testing across release phases.
