Job summary

The Penang office in George Town seeks a full-time Audit Associate to plan and perform statutory audits, prepare working papers, and liaise with clients on documentation and queries.

You will work with senior staff to meet deadlines while maintaining quality and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; ACCA, CPA or equivalent is an advantage.
• Sound understanding of accounting principles, financial statements and basic tax concepts.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify variances and assess risk.
• Ability to apply audit methodologies and professional standards.
• Detail-oriented and organised, able to manage multiple deadlines and assignments.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in office and accounting software; audit tools experience is a plus.
• Committed to ethics, confidentiality and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform statutory audits across various industries with testing of internal controls.
• Prepare working papers, verify financial information and support audit reporting to standards.
