Adecco’s client is a global organisation seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage the end-to-end payroll operations for Thailand, with the opportunity to progressively support additional markets within the region.

The role includes ensuring accurate, timely payroll processing, daily collaboration with HR, Finance, employees and external payroll partners, and driving payroll improvements and regional projects. Fluency in Thai is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business, accounting, finance or related discipline.
  • At least 3 years payroll experience, preferably with Thailand payroll or regional payroll.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Thai is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of Thailand payroll, tax, statutory requirements and employment regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with end-to-end payroll processing and payroll reconciliation.
  • Experience with PND, SSF, Provident Fund and other statutory requirements.
  • Experience with payroll vendors, HRIS and Time & Attendance systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reconciliation.
  • Ability to meet strict payroll deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Interest in process improvements, automation and regional payroll projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end monthly payroll process for Thailand, validating inputs.
  • Review and validate time and attendance data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Perform payroll validation, reconciliation, audits and pre-payroll checks.
  • Ensure compliance with Thai labour, tax and statutory requirements.
  • Prepare payroll and statutory reports and support year-end submissions.
  • Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees, managers and HR.
  • Collaborate with external payroll vendors and HRIS providers.
  • Maintain SOPs and support payroll transformation initiatives.

Job description

Adecco’s client is a global organisation seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage the end-to-end payroll operations for Thailand, with the opportunity to progressively support additional markets within the region. The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely and compliant payroll processing while working closely with HR, Finance, employees, managers and external payroll partners. The successful candidate will also contribute to payroll improvement initiatives, system enhancements and regional projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end monthly payroll process for Thailand, including validating payroll inputs such as new hires, resignations, promotions, salary adjustments, allowances, overtime, commissions, bonuses and deductions.
  • Review and validate time and attendance data, including overtime, leave and shift information, and follow up with relevant stakeholders to resolve discrepancies or missing information.
  • Perform payroll validation, reconciliation, audits and pre-payroll checks to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
  • Ensure payroll activities comply with applicable Thailand labour, tax and statutory requirements, including Personal Income Tax (PND), Social Security Fund (SSF), Provident Fund where applicable, and other statutory deductions and employer contributions.
  • Prepare required payroll and statutory reports, and support year-end tax reporting and statutory submissions.
  • Handle payroll-related enquiries from employees, managers and HR, including clarification of payslips, payroll calculations, tax deductions and leave-related impacts.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Work closely with external payroll vendors and payroll system providers to ensure smooth payroll processing, resolve system issues and track payroll-related cases.
  • Maintain accurate payroll documentation, processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in line with internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll efficiency, accuracy, controls and automation, and support payroll transformation initiatives, system enhancements, testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across HR, Finance, Rewards, Tax, IT and the wider business to support payroll operations and regional initiatives.
  • Support internal and external audits and participate in regional payroll projects as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of payroll experience, preferably with hands-on experience processing Thailand payroll and/or regional payroll.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Thai is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of Thailand payroll, tax, statutory requirements and employment regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with end-to-end payroll processing, payroll reconciliation and validation.
  • Familiarity with Personal Income Tax (PND), Social Security Fund (SSF), Provident Fund and other applicable statutory requirements.
  • Experience working with payroll vendors, HRIS, payroll systems and Time & Attendance systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyse and reconcile payroll data.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Good stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with HR, Finance, employees, managers and external vendors.
  • Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet strict payroll deadlines.
  • Proactive and comfortable supporting process improvements, system enhancements, automation and regional payroll projects.
