A leading company in the logistics sector is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist. In this role, you will ensure timely and compliant processing of payroll, manage employee records, and maintain exceptional attention to detail. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and have at least two years of relevant experience, along with proficiency in payroll software. Process payroll on a bi-weekly/monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and local laws.
Maintain and update payroll records, including employee data, salary changes, deductions, and overtime.
Coordinate with HR to ensure proper payroll information such as new hires, terminations, and promotions are accurately reflected.
Calculate and process benefits, bonuses, incentives, and deductions (e.g., tax, insurance, retirement plans).
Ensure timely payment of wages, including direct deposit or check processing.
Prepare and distribute payslips and ensure employees have access to their payroll information.
Reconcile payroll discrepancies by working with employees and management to resolve issues.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and tax requirements related to payroll.
Generate and submit reports related to payroll, taxes, and benefits as required by government authorities.
Handle employee payroll inquiries and provide clarification regarding pay, deductions, and benefits.
Assist with year-end payroll processes, including tax filing and reporting.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.
2+ years of experience in payroll processing or related field.
Strong knowledge of payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, SAP, QuickBooks).
Solid understanding of local, state, and federal tax regulations and labor laws.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills to address employee concerns and inquiries.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
