Job summary

A leading company in the manufacturing sector is looking for a Payroll Specialist to handle monthly payroll processes and ensure compliance with payroll laws. The role involves maintaining accurate records, preparing tax documents, and managing payroll adjustments. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Accounting or related fields and experience in payroll processing within the manufacturing industry.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in manufacturing.

Job description

Prepare and process the monthly/bi-weekly payroll for all employees.

Maintain accurate records of attendance, overtime, and other payroll-related data.

Ensure compliance with relevant labour laws and tax regulations, including statutory deductions (e.g., Employee Provident Fund, Socso, EIS, income tax, etc.).

Generate and file tax-related documents and statutory reports.

Maintain payroll-related documentation and reports for audit and compliance purposes.

Update employee records in the payroll system, ensuring all personal, employment, and salary information is accurate and current.

Prepare and submit SOCSO Claims Documents for workers (accident cases) to SOCSO.

Manage payroll adjustments, including salary changes, promotions, and new hires.

Report payroll costs, deductions, and benefits to management as required.

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll data and follow company policies on data security.

Perform any other duties assigned by superiors.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and statutory benefits.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
