Job Overview

Contributes to TE Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam Payroll operations and other payroll-related programs, providing monthly labor cost reports. Supports Country HR/HRBP in developing site pay policies and procedures. Delivers and improves payroll processes through continuous improvement, technology solutions, and centralized shared services. Provides on-site HR services to operations.

Job Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide effective and efficient on-site payroll services, contributing to payroll and related programs (e.g., tax, insurance, labor cost reports, payroll-related benefits) processing within established budgets, principles, regulations, laws, and employment standards. Manage accurate and timely payroll activities.
  • Manage Penang plant’s T&A operations, coordinate with other LEs’ operations and T&A colleagues to ensure smooth flow of time & attendance data into payroll and ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Handle employee queries related to payroll.
  • Maintain payroll-related documentation and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
  • Advise the business on country policies, local regulations, and TE policies. Stay updated on payroll regulatory issues, identify potential risks, and drive risk mitigation to ensure compliance.
  • Support HR/HRBP in developing site pay policies and procedures.
  • Conduct audits to ensure data accuracy and integrity, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Continuously review and enhance payroll processes, manage global or regional payroll integration or harmonization programs, and promote adoption of payroll systems.
  • Provide HR services as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of work experience, with at least 7 years in progressive payroll roles as an independent Payroll Analyst.
  • Experience in international enterprise environments.
  • Good knowledge of local payroll laws.
  • Experience in payroll data management, metrics, and measurement.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); English as working language.
  • Experience with tax systems and reporting.
  • Strong service mindset and collaborative spirit.
  • Experience with international payroll systems or time and attendance systems is preferred.
