Job summary

Kuching Specialist Hospital is seeking a dedicated nursing support professional to provide basic care in accordance with hospital standards. You will work closely with the ward team, report incidents to nursing leadership, and assist with patient transport and daily ward operations.

Training will be provided to new staff, with opportunities to grow within the nursing services. Excellent communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia, interpersonal skills, and a caring, responsible attitude are

Qualifications

Education: Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia.
Certified healthcare assistants would be a priority.
Experience working in a hospital setting is an advantage.
On the job training/in-service training will be provided.
Special skills: Able to converse fluently and write in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Personal attributes: Interpersonal and communication skills, caring, honest, responsible.
Willingness to work scheduled hours, shifts, weekends, holidays, and emergencies.
Experience working in a hospital is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Provide basic nursing care in line with established standards.
Coordinate with team members in the ward/unit.
Keep supervisors informed of incidences requiring nursing administrative involvement.
Assist nurses in transporting patients to the operating theatre and to diagnostic tests.
Attend meetings held by the service.
