A leading automotive company is seeking a Parts Assistant to support spare parts operations in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves inventory management, assisting technicians, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, possess strong communication skills, and are motivated to work in a dynamic environment.
Job Summary
Parts Assistant is assisting with spare parts operations involves executing daily activities such as receiving, storing, retrieving, and issuing parts. Additionally, this role includes inventory management, which ensures accurate records and optimal stock levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Maintain and organize parts inventory to ensure accuracy and availability.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with your superior.
- Conduct regular stock checks to ensure proper inventory tracking.
- Assist in managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of parts and accessories.
- Ensure proper documentation and accurate record-keeping for all inventory-related activities.
Operations and Administration:
- Prepare and maintain records of parts transactions and inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Organize and maintain the parts storage area to ensure cleanliness and order.
- Assist in the development and implementation of operational improvements.
Technical Support:
- Assist service technicians and mechanics in locating and retrieving required parts.
- Staying updated on product specifications, new part releases, and prices.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of product lines and parts functions.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and computer applications.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Have good counting skills to count inventory, check, and update costs.
- Good command of English and Bahasa is a must.
- Good in Microsoft Office—Excel is a must and Word.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum qualification of SPM or equivalent.
- Prior experience in handling automotive parts or working in a similar role (Parts Controller) is preferred.
- Strong execution skills, excellent communication skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Being upright, diligent, and motivated; full of passion for work; recognizing corporate culture; and able to have a positive impact on the people around us.
- Possess basic logical thinking and strong communication and coordination skills.
- Priority is given to those who have after-sales accessory store order management and inventory management experience.
- Possess a valid driving license, be proficient, and have no bad driving record.
- Fresh graduates with a strong interest in automotive inventory management are also encouraged to apply.
