Job summary

KK Group of Companies (Retail) seeks a dedicated Shop Assistant for KK SUPER MART in Melaka, MKL location. This part-time role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, maintaining a welcoming store, stocking shelves, and handling till transactions.

You will join a friendly team, with responsibilities spanning customer inquiries, stock management, and store upkeep. Flexible hours including evenings and weekends are available, making it ideal for part-time candidates.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Basic numeracy and experience operating a till system (preferred but not essential).
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/carry stock items.
• Reliability and punctuality with flexibility to work part-time hours including evenings and weekends if required.
• Communication skills in English and/or Bahasa Malaysia.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and efficient customer service, assisting shoppers with product enquiries and purchases
• Stock shelves and display areas with merchandise, ensuring products are arranged neatly and clearly labelled
• Process customer transactions at the checkout using the till system accurately and promptly
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the store, including aisles, shelves and customer areas
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management and stocktaking activities
• Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally, escalating issues when necessary
• Unpack deliveries and arrange new stock in the appropriate locations
• Operate the till system and handle cash transactions with accuracy
• Follow store policies, procedures and health and safety regulations at all times
