We are looking for an awesome team member to join us as an experienced Accounts Team Lead.
This role is a predominantlypart-time/casual, work-from-homerole.
Successful candidate must be available for communications during certain designated hours which will be pre-agreed upfront (During Centry's business hours).
Key Responsibilities:
Primary Scope (Ideal Candidate): The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive review and oversight across all three specialisation areas:
Scope 1: Accounts Review & Supervision:
Review monthly bookkeeping work and management accounts prepared by the team members
Ensure accuracy of transactional document processing
Oversee client liaison activities and approve communications with clients and external parties
Liaise with clients, where necessary and to ensure quality assurance of client query responses and follow-up procedures
Scope 2: Payroll Review & Supervision:
Review monthly payroll processing for accuracy and compliance prepared by the team members
Verify claims, allowances, and overtime calculations
Ensure timely and accurate submission of statutory reports (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, Income Tax)
Oversee documentation processes and bank transfer procedures
Oversee communications with clients and statutory authorities
Scope 3: SST Review & Supervision:
Review SST report preparation and ensure compliant submissions prepared by the team members
Verify accuracy of SST calculations and supporting documentation
Oversee communications with clients and statutory authorities
Alternative Scope Configurations: We are open to candidates with expertise in one or two of the above areas, with scope combinations to be discussed based on candidate strengths and firm requirements.

You are welcome to apply if you meet the following qualities/criteria

Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, MIA, or equivalent) or Bachelor degree in Accounting or its equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant fields, in a Malaysian professional practice. Remuneration will be dependent on the skills and experience, and working hours available. The expected monthly basic salary indicated in the question refers to the monthly remuneration you expect based on your available working hours indicated (not full month salary).
Experience in a supervisory or review capacity is preferred.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
You are fluent in English and Malay languages. Ability to communicate in any other additional languages, such as Mandarin are an added advantage for liaison with clients and external parties.
Previous experience with client portfolio management.
Proficiency in cloud-based accounting and payroll systems such as Xero, Bukku accounting systems, and Swingvy, Talenox payroll systems is preferred.
Knowledge and experience in providing bookkeeping services to clients.
Knowledge and experience in current SST regulations and compliance requirements.
Knowledge and experience in current Employment Act, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB and employer's obligation under Income Tax Act requirements.
