Job description

Key tasks:
  1. Effectively and efficiently provide legal advisory while ensuring the effective management of legal risks for company’s operations under supervision of senior lawyer.
  2. Support the day-to-day legal operations of the company, draft, review and revise a wide range of contracts, covering both existing and new corporate and commercial projects, products and services.
  3. Assist senior lawyer in the process of monitoring and advising on company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable corporate laws, regulations, guidelines, and regulatory rulings.
  4. Coordinate with external corporate secretary with the preparation, submission, and filing of statutory forms, documents, resolutions, and announcements with relevant authorities.
  5. Assist senior lawyer in searching relevant information on problematic issues (advertising, tax, labor law mostly) and handling company’s correspondence.
  6. Perform additional duties and assignments as directed by management.
Requirements:
  1. 4th year student of law college.
  2. Strong command of the English language (both oral & written).
  3. Strong knowledge of Malaysian corporate and commercial law.
  4. Proficient user of MS Office.
Working conditions & benefits:
  1. 5-day working week, commercial hours.
  2. Stable remuneration/month (net), salary increase after first 3 months, annual pay raise.
