Responsibilities:
- Works in line with the defined and implemented safety and food safety standards, following the 5S, Housekeeping, and HACCP related to the workplace.
- Makes all the quality checks in line with the standards and procedures on simple packaging machines.
- Executes the tagging process, CILT, and applies problem-solving tools. Participates and starts leading the improvement teams.
- Performs the packaging technician’s job as and when required, including machine start-up, shut-down, changeover, and cleaning.
- Executes all the packaging operations on simple machines in line with the valid standards. Manages documentation and reporting for the working area.
- Operates the simple packaging machines.
- Executes basic preventive maintenance tasks according to standards and is actively involved in improvement activities. Captures and interprets performance data and executes corrective actions.
- Participates in immediate breakdown repair or assists in major breakdown repair.
- Performs downtime analysis and troubleshooting; identifies the problem(s) prior to calling the emergency crew.
- Works closely with production supervisors and provides advice on possible causes of breakdown and estimated repair time.
- Recommends innovative solutions and implements them to avoid any product damage or delay in production.
Requirements:
- Degree holder in a related technical field, preferably in Engineering/Mechatronics.
- Open to fresh graduates.
- 1-3 years of experience in packaging/maintenance in a manufacturing environment will be an advantage.
- Preferred experience in TPM/LEAN/6 SIGMA, etc.
- Preferably in beverage/maintenance operation shop floor experience.
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
- IT literate and proficient in using computers, iPad, systems, etc.
- Must be able to work in changing shift patterns according to demand (24/7, over the weekend).
