Job description

Packaging Technician (Open to Degree Fresh Grads)

Basic Salary: Up to RM3,500
Location: Petaling Jaya

Responsibilities:

  • Works in line with the defined and implemented safety and food safety standards. Following the 5S, Housekeeping and HACCP related to the work place.
  • Makes all the quality checks in line with the standards and procedures on simple packaging machines.
  • Executes the tagging process, CILT and applies problem solving tools. Participates and starts leading the improvement teams.
  • Perform the packaging technician’s job as and when required, including machine start-up, shut-down, changeover and cleaning.
  • Executes all the packaging operations on simple machines in line with the valid standards. Manage documentation and reporting for the working area.
  • Operates the simple packaging machines.
  • Executes basic preventive maintenance tasks according to standards and is actively involved in improvement activities. Captures and interprets performance data and executes corrective actions.
  • Participate in immediate breakdown repair or to assist in major breakdown repair.
  • Perform down time analysis and trouble-shooting; and identify the problem(s) prior to calling emergency crew.
  • Work closely with production supervisors and provide advice on possible cause of breakdown and estimated repair time.
  • Recommend innovative solutions and to implement through to avoid any product damage or delay production.

Requirements:

  • Degreeholder in related technical field, preferably in Engineering/Mechatronics
  • Open for fresh graduates
  • 1-3 years experience in packaging/maintenance in manufacturing environment will be an advantage
  • Preferred experience in TPM/LEAN/ 6 SIGMA, etc.
  • Preferably in beverage/maintenance operation shopfloor experience
  • Proficient in spoken and writen English
  • IT literate and proficient in using computers, iPad, systems, etc
  • Must be able to work in changing shift patterns according to demand (24/7, over weekend)
