Major Accountabilities

• The S2P Operational Expert reviews, reconciles, and executes P2P and T&E transactions, analytics, controls & monitoring, and reporting.
• Ensures inquiries from business users are resolved in a timely manner.
• Ensures strong quality assurance and strict adherence to Novartis policies, driving strategies with positive impact on key metrics/KPIs, and provides effective end-to-end processes to the business. Supports compliance and ensures systems, documentation, and proper reporting are in place.
• Collaborates with internal Novartis GPO, Business Partners, Hub, External Consulting Interface operational teams, stakeholders, and external suppliers to enable operational excellence, process, and system efficiency initiatives, while maintaining controls and reporting.
• Executes quality reconciliations following Novartis standards, maintaining communication with R2R and BPA functions.
• Provides services at expected levels and KPIs, with a customer focus, including handling exceptions. Offers guidance to team members and interacts proactively within NGSC and Business to ensure accurate accounting and reporting. Resolves issues and disputes promptly.
• Supports system or process enhancements through digital and technological initiatives to improve productivity and stakeholder experience.
• Maintains good collaboration with External consulting services, ensuring efficiency, continuous improvement, and seamless service.
• Tracks issues, provides root cause analysis (RCA), and implements solutions to eliminate root causes.
• Adheres to all accounting policies and procedures, including NFCM controls and global processes. Promotes a strong control environment, follows up on audit issues, and implements corrective actions as needed.
• Ensures high-quality master data maintenance to prevent risks such as fraud or payment errors through call-back validation and AP on Behalf processes.

Key Performance Indicators

• Internal customer satisfaction with quality, appropriateness, and timeliness of financial analyses and service delivery, measured against KPIs and SLAs.

Minimum Requirements

Work Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or higher, with 4+ years of accounting experience, including in-depth functional and process expertise in P2P / AP / T&E processes.
• Proficiency in Arabic and English, as communication with regional stakeholders is essential.
• Proven ability to work efficiently in a multi-national, matrix organization with P2P / R2P / AP / T&E expertise.
• Moderate to advanced expertise in SAP P2P and T&E processes and T-Codes.
• Experience with projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to understand complex situations and interdependencies. Experience in remote third-party supplier relationships. Intermediate Excel skills for reporting and analysis.
