In this role, you’ll lead a team supporting the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) function, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant processing of vendor payments and employee expenses across a designated portfolio. If you’re an experienced leader in accounts payable with a strong track record in team management and continuous process improvement, we’d love to hear from you.

This role is hybrid with a working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

    Responsibilities may include:

    • Manage and lead a P2P team responsible for processing invoices, payments, and employee expenses for a designated portfolio.
    • Oversee the timely, accurate, and compliant execution of P2P activities in line with company policies and controls.
    • Ensure regular reconciliation of supplier statements, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining positive relationships with vendors.
    • Generate and analyse P2P reports to support financial decision-making and audits.
    • Collaborate with procurement, finance, and operational teams to resolve payment issues efficiently.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the P2P process, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and controls.
    • Manage month-end closing activities related to accounts payable in collaboration with the Financial Accounting team.
    • Coach, develop, and support team members to meet individual and team KPIs.
    • Perform other duties as delegated, including supporting business improvement projects and ad-hoc initiatives.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

    • Strong knowledge of Procure-to-Pay and Travel & Expense processes.
    • A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an accounts payable or shared services environment.
    • Proven experience in managing and developing teams.
    • Knowledge of SAP and PO systems will be an advantage.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
    • Fluent in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • A recognised accounting qualification (ACMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent) or be part-qualified.
    • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities.
    • A collaborative mindset with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
