Overview of outsourcing and sub-contract planning activities.

Identifying, evaluating, and selecting suitable external vendors for outsourcing needs.

Evaluate potential external engineering vendors based on technical capabilities, cost, quality, delivery timelines, and ensure quality standards are met.

Maintain communication between internal teams and external suppliers to deliver projects on time.

Track and manage project budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness of outsourced services.

Prepare regular status reports on project progress, performance metrics, and cost analysis for internal stakeholders.

Conduct site visits at vendor facilities to assess capabilities and processes.

Identify and address issues during the outsourcing process, including technical challenges or delays, promptly and efficiently.

Ensure adherence to relevant legal and regulatory requirements related to outsourcing.

Manage multiple projects within tight timeframes.

Develop procedures as required.

Undertake other roles and responsibilities assigned by the company and immediate superior.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably mechanical engineering)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in metal/machining manufacturing industry
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, able to read and interpret technical drawings, requirements, and specifications
• Knowledge of outsource policies and Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW)
• Experience in supplier management and vendor evaluation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder interaction
• Good leadership, interpersonal, and teamwork skills with suppliers
• Attentive, high integrity, thorough, disciplined work attitude
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Proficiency in English (written and oral)
• Mandarin comprehension is an advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
