Job summary

Becton Dickinson Sdn. Bhd. kedah-based facility seeks an Operational Technology professional to maintain OT systems, networks, and manufacturing automation. You will troubleshoot OT equipment, develop preventive maintenance, and ensure system reliability in a regulated production environment.

Responsibilities include PLC-controlled equipment deployment, HMI/SCADA support, and cross-functional collaboration on Smart Factory and Industry 4.0 initiatives across the site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support OT systems, industrial networks, and manufacturing automation platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve OT-related equipment, software, and network issues.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance strategies for OT assets.
• Ensure system availability, reliability, and compliance with site standards.
• Support installation, commissioning, and maintenance of PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and maintain automation systems utilizing platforms such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Mitsubishi, Omron, and Schneider Electric.
• Manage PLC backups, program revisions, change control, and system recovery activities.
• Support HMI, SCADA, and machine control applications.
• Lead and support Smart Factory and Industry 4.0 initiatives across the site.
• Implement and maintain machine connectivity, data collection, and visualization solutions.
• Support MES integration, OEE monitoring, production dashboards, and Industrial IoT applications.
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing performance through digitalization and automation.
• Support industrial networks and communication protocols including Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP, OPC-UA, and MQTT.
• Collaborate with IT to ensure secure and reliable OT operations.
• Implement OT cybersecurity controls, system backup strategies, and access management practices.
• Ensure compliance with BD quality systems, validation requirements, and change management processes.
• Participate in automation, equipment upgrade, and digital transformation projects.
• Support system design, testing, commissioning, and documentation activities.
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers, system integrators, and cross-functional teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
