Job summary

City University Malaysia in Sepang, Selangor invites applications for an Lecturer - Occupational Safety and Health (OSH). You will deliver lectures and practicals, develop course materials, supervise student projects, and contribute to curriculum development.

The role requires a Master’s in OSH (PhD preferred), with OSH industry/teaching experience and awareness of Malaysian OSH law. Opportunity to engage with industry bodies and participate in research activities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field.
• PhD is an added advantage.
• Industry and/or teaching experience in OSH is advantageous.
• Professional certification/registration with DOSH, NIOSH, or relevant bodies is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Malaysian OSH legislation and workplace safety.
• Experience with Work-Based Learning (WBL) or industry-based education is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and student engagement skills.
• Available to commence work in October 2026.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, practical sessions, and WBL courses in OSH and related disciplines.
• Develop, review, and update course materials, assessments, and teaching methods in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise students’ academic progress, projects, and research activities.
• Participate in curriculum development, course reviews, academic meetings, and institutional activities.
• Engage with industry partners and professional bodies to strengthen teaching and learning and ensure alignment with industry needs.
• Contribute to research, publications, consultancy, and other academic activities where applicable.
