WD is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to perform advanced analytical testing using GCMS, FTIR and LCMS, interpret data, troubleshoot instrument issues, and escalate out-of-tolerance events with evidence and corrective actions. The role supports routine contamination analyses, calibration checks, and PM logs while ensuring safety and quality compliance.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma or Bachelor's in Chemistry/Analytical fields, are proficient with Windows/Office, can work 12-hour shifts

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science.
• Must be able to communicate in basic English.
• Willing to work 12-hour shift pattern including day or night cycles.

Job Description

Perform advanced analytical testing and data interpretation using GCMS, FTIR, and/or LCMS instrumentation. Analyze instrument data, troubleshoot equipment abnormalities, and elevate out-of-tolerance conditions to management with supporting evidence and corrective action recommendations, ensuring compliance with laboratory quality standards. Acts as the technical resource for day-to-day laboratory operations and supports issue resolution through established procedures.

Regular Responsibilities

• Execute routine contamination analysis testing on assigned analytical platforms (GCMS, FTIR, LCMS)
• Maintain preventive maintenance (PM) schedules; update PM checklists and equipment logs
• Prepare and verify calibration standards; evaluate check standard pass/fail criteria
• Identify and troubleshoot instrument abnormalities, machine faults, and performance degradation, implement corrective actions to restore normal instrument operation.
• Document findings with supporting evidence (chromatograms, spectral data, control charts)
• Support shift-based laboratory operations
• Adhere to chemical laboratory safety, SDS/MSDS protocols, and emergency response procedures
• Communicate clearly with cross-functional teams on data validity and equipment status
• Identify process pain points and propose digital/procedural enhancements
• Contribute to method development and validation activities

Skill / Experience Requirement:

• Familiar with Microsoft Windows, Office applications
• Required to work in 12 hours shift pattern with day or night cycles
• Able to communicate in basic English
• Strong analytical judgment and attention to detail
• Must be a team player and able to work with minimal supervision
• Own transportation for traveling to work
