Work Arrangement: Fully onsite, Monday to Friday (5 days a week)

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Performance Expert to lead database performance optimization and contribute to key infrastructure modernization initiatives. The role involves proactive analysis, architecture design, and hands-on tuning to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance across critical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in infrastructure projects and collaborate with stakeholders to define and design target Oracle architectures, considering performance, storage, backup/restore, regulatory, and disaster recovery requirements.
  • Analyze production database activity and make recommendations for optimization across applications and infrastructure, including detailed monitoring and diagnostics, and developing short-, mid-, and long-term performance improvement strategies.
  • Provide expert guidance on Oracle tuning, configuration standards, and database architecture improvements.
  • Support database migration to new platforms (IBM Power10 + AIX).
Technical Environment
  • Databases: Oracle 19c with Active Data Guard, Oracle Enterprise Manager (v11 & v12 remnants), Oracle Streams, PostgreSQL
  • Platforms: SPARC + Solaris 11 (current), IBM Power10 + AIX 7.2/7.3 (target), x86 + Red Hat Linux
  • Schedulers: VTOM and TWS
Requirements
  • Proven expertise in Oracle performance analysis and tuning.
