The department / team
Within the distributed and mainframe department, the Database product team oversees database management. We are responsible of the database infrastructure. Our mission is to provide reliable database services by covering the whole DB lifecycle. Support our customers for the move to the cloud journey. We manage both deployment through projects and maintenance in operational condition. We also have an advisory role on Database strategy. Our organization is global and includes DBAs all over the world.

About the job
Job purpose
Contribute to engineering and support activities in a diversified technical environment (high availability and DR, Private and Public Cloud (Azure-AWS), for Oracle and PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB and Couchbase DBMSs. The diversity of the architectures is an opportunity for continuous learning and upskilling.
In addition to the administration of Database infrastructures, the DBA contributes to the qualifications and automation of developments related to databases, we are actors of the migrations, upgrades and at the heart of major and varied projects for our customers. He also participates to security and audit topics and ensure compliance with the QOS. On top of this, we oversee the Database BAU.
Main missions
Your responsibilities include:
• Participate to DB technical server migration from Private cloud to on prem (POD)
• Installation, configuration and upgrading of Database server software and related products
• Evaluate new features and DB related products
• Establish and maintain backup and recovery policies and procedures
• Take care of the Database design and implementation
• Implement and maintain database security
• Work as part of a global team and provide 24x7 support when required
• Perform general technical trouble shooting
• Interface with vendors for technical support.
• Patch Management and Version Control
• Manage production and incidents in the perimeter
• Automate, industrialize, and improve the functioning of the Database infrastructure, using Puppet
• Participate in the organization and execution of major operations
• Participate in the organization and execution of disaster recovery plans
• Provide support and advice to other product teams
• Participate to technical meetings
• Contribute to the development and elaboration of AXA IT standards
• Participate in transversal projects
• Infrastructure in the Core IT, Private Iaas and Public Cloud (Azure)
• Collaborate with all the colleagues in the global team.
