Job Specification:
The Operations Supervisor is responsible to manage and oversee all yard activities. This role requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage local partners and vendors effectively as well as ensuring all yard operations are conducted in a safe, efficient, and effective manner, aligned with SES procedures & guidelines.
Principal Accountabilities
Accountabilities detailed herein need to be always carried out in a professional and positive manner. The main tasks to be completed include:
Operations
- Ensure no equipment is dispatched on-hire without the readiness sign-off from the Operations Supervisor.
- Maintain a fleet readiness level of 90%, ensuring all equipment possesses necessary certifications, accessories, and is ready for on-hire at any time.
- Validate and endorse on-hire inspection checklists, ensuring completeness, accuracy and zero rejections from customers.
- Oversee all inspection processes on off-hired equipment and ensure Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) are released to clients within 48 hours.
- Issue non-compliance reports to the local partner in the absence of NCRs for damages or missing accessories.
- Raise Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) observations when standards fall below expectations.
- Ensure all work performed by the local partner / vendors adheres to SES standards, aligning with Operations Excellence guidelines.
- Manage and track SES spares inventory, ensuring accurate records of all slings, accessories, and materials.
- Provide technical assistance and support to the local partner & vendors as required.
- Develop and propose improvement plans to SES management, local partner and vendor for enhanced operational efficiency.
- Provide leadership and direct oversight for all in-house vendors, ensuring operations are not interrupted and run smoothly. Foster an environment where vendors are integrated as a part of the extended SES team.
- Act as the primary liaison for SES KL office regarding activities conducted in Kemaman.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational efficiency and vendor performance and provide regular reporting to SES management.

Qualifications and Experience:
- High school diploma / bachelor’s degree or equivalent; in a related field
- Proven track record in yard operations, manufacturing, logistics, or a related field
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage stakeholders effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in MS Office and other computer software
