Swichtec Power Systems Sdn Bhd is a Malaysian-grown company with nearly 30 years of experience in DC power systems and critical backup solutions. As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a hands-on, people-first Operations & Quality Manager to lead and structure our quantity-based manufacturing setup with speed, clarity, and discipline.
You’ll be responsible for our core product lines — including 48VDC Switch Mode Rectifiers (SMRs), 30VDC Thyristor Battery Chargers, and Dual SIM Router projects with TNB — while ensuring that output is consistent, quality is maintained, and team performance is structured and accountable.
With important deadlines approaching in mid-May, this role is critical. We need a leader who knows how to prioritize, manage fast-moving tasks, and build a strong operational culture that scales.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Oversee end-to-end production and quality for high-volume, quantity-based assembly operations.
- Coordinate and execute daily plans to meet Customer Requested Delivery Dates (CRDD).
- Enforce strong SOP compliance, factory discipline, and safety protocols.
- Work closely with planning, QA/QC, procurement, and project teams to drive operational alignment.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, ISO 9001:2015) to enhance speed and quality.
- Manage and mentor technicians, operators, and QA personnel.
- Build daily routines and structures for production accountability.
- Prioritize effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Identify, coach, and develop team members to become future operational leaders.
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and skills development to scale team capability.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Have:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in operations, production, or manufacturing leadership.
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
- Strong people and organizational skills — able to drive clarity, structure, and focus.
- Experience managing output in quantity-driven assembly or manufacturing setups.
- Proven ability to prioritize in real-time and deliver under pressure.
- Fluent in both Bahasa Malaysia and English — verbal and written.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of DC power systems, battery chargers, or telco-related manufacturing.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, LEAN tools, or ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Prior involvement in tight-timeline projects (e.g. utility clients like TNB).
