Overview

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly driven Operations Manager to lead the operations of a new & young Thai Cuisine restaurant brand, which is launching its first outlet in Kuala Lumpur. This role requires a proven leader with strong operational expertise, people management skills, and the ability to deliver an exceptional guest experience in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Support all pre-opening preparations (recruitment, training, SOP setup, operational readiness)
  • Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations with 100% adherence to SOPs and brand standards.
  • Lead, train, and motivate a team to maintain high service and food quality standards.
  • Train, coach, and discipline staff to deliver a systematic service culture.
  • Manage manpower planning and rostering.
  • Control inventory, procurement, and food cost to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Drive sales and profitability through effective cost control, manpower planning, and inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally to uphold the restaurant’s reputation.
  • Prepare and review operational reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Resolve operational issues and manage customer escalations effectively.
Key Requirements
  • Minimum 5–10 years of restaurant/food & beverage management experience, preferably in Thai or Chinese Cuisine Restaurants.
  • Strong background in structured, SOP-driven F&B operations.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Pre-opening or new outlet launch experience highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage P&L, control costs, and achieve financial targets.
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and highly adaptable in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to create memorable dining experiences.
  • Flexible to work late shifts on weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required.
