Are you ready to make a significant impact in the dynamic world of logistics and operations management?

As the Operations Manager SEA, you'll oversee logistics operations across three key SEA markets, managing all incoming shipments, warehousing activities, and transportation processes. Your goal will be to achieve SLA targets, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive cost, quality, and process improvements.

In this exciting role, you'll lead and motivate the SEA operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement to support strategic objectives in service, quality, and cost. You'll work closely with regional and global inventory teams, ensuring the effective implementation of inventory and S&OP strategies within the markets.

What you will do in this role….

  1. Outsourced Logistics Management:
  • Oversee 3PL partners in warehousing and transportation.
  • Develop strategies to optimize logistics efficiency.
  • Ensure partners meet KPIs on cost, service quality, and delivery accuracy.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts for competitive pricing and reliability.
  • Regional Warehousing & Transportation Oversight:
    • Ensure effective warehouse management in Southeast Asia.
    • Monitor and enhance transportation solutions.
    • Implement SOPs for warehouse and transport operations.
    • Drive improvements in warehousing and distribution efficiency.
  • Cost & Performance Optimization:
    • Manage SEA logistics costs within budget.
    • Benchmark costs and performance across providers and countries.
    • Identify cost-saving initiatives while maintaining service excellence.
    • Drive efficiency improvements and digitalization in logistics operations.
    • Optimize inventory flow from distribution centers (DCs) to local networks.
    • Coordinate shipping and delivery with suppliers.
    • Implement and improve S&OP process for SEA markets.
    • Negotiate freight strategy with transporters and forwarders.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with trade regulations, customs policies, and safety standards.
    • Mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions and regulatory changes.
    • Develop best practices for operational compliance and security.
  • Leadership & Collaboration:
    • Lead and mentor regional logistics teams.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth.
    • Develop training programs for logistics teams.
    • Establish controls and reporting for high performance.
  • Environment, Health, Safety and Security:
    • Ensure 3PL partners and facilities comply with Global EHS requirements.
    • Assess security aspects of 3PL partners for product security in storage and transportation.

    What do I need to be successful?

    If you have the following skills and experience, we want to hear from you:

    • Good mix of logistics management and supply chain planning experiences
    • Detail oriented, highly analytical & Data driven decision making, problem solving.
    • Senior management level experience in managing time critical, high volume Distribution Centres
    • Understanding of SEA Customs Regulations and Transportation Network
    • Leadership skills to rectify any operational non-conformances.
    • Ability to interpret business/supply chain forecasts and establish cost effective processes in Distribution Centres.
    • Experience of working in a customer led service delivery organisation.
    • Experience in the use and implementation of Warehouse Management Systems.
    • Experience of working with SAP, WMS, TMS
    • Knowledge of our external marketplace (customers, competitors & suppliers/ carriers).
    • Experience of working within the Electronics, Industrial, Maintenance distribution industries as appropriate.
    • Experience of working in a global matrix organization.
    • Lean Six Sigma or project management certification (e.g., PMP, APICS) is a plus.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
