Experience in coordinating with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and hauliers in import & export shipment arrangements and deliveries.
Manage the overall FCL/LCL/Conventional import & export shipments by sea, land, and air.
Handle customer enquiries, resolve issues, and address complaints.
Coordinate with customers and overseas agents to monitor shipment status and provide timely updates.
Prepare quotations for customers/agents in a timely manner with sufficient details and follow up.
Ensure all documentation and billing are checked, compiled, and stored.
Input cost and sales data into the system in a timely manner.
Demonstrate good leadership to work closely with and train the team to achieve overall customer satisfaction.
Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients.
Attend and assist with indoor meetings with customers as needed.
Prepare reports with sales and volume data.
Perform any other additional tasks assigned by superiors and management.
Job Requirements
Understanding of Sea & Air freight FCL & LCL arrangements, documentation (SI to carriers, & Shipping Pre-Alerts), customs clearance, and transportation.
Good knowledge of and familiarity with Incoterms, import/export, and customs-related matters.
At least 5 years of working experience in freight forwarding/shipping.
Experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
Experience in handling hauliers and dealing with shipping lines.
Able to multi-task, hands-on, and prioritize jobs.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Able to work independently, be a team player, multi-task, be self-motivated, work under pressure, and make quick decisions to solve problems.
Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Candidate must possess at least a Graduate/Professional Certificate.
