Job Description
  • Working Hours: From 8am to 5pm
  • Work Days: Monday to Saturday

Contract Duration:1st March 2025 - 30th June 2026 (subject to renewal)

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in a manufacturing environment (experience in steel manufacturing is a plus).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of production processes, quality control, and manufacturing operations.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in manufacturing.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in using manufacturing software, ERP systems, and MS Office.

Job Scopes:

Operations Management:

  • Supervise daily operations of the steel pipe manufacturing plant, ensuring all processes are executed according to established procedures.
  • Optimize production processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions to improve productivity.
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust them to ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Oversee resource allocation, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet production requirements.

Staff Management and Leadership:

  • Lead and manage a team of production supervisors, operators, and support staff.
  • Provide training, coaching, and development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees.
  • Foster a collaborative, motivated, and safety-conscious work environment.

Quality Control and Compliance:

  • Ensure production meets established quality standards by implementing quality control measures throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Oversee the inspection of raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods to maintain product quality.
  • Ensure the plant complies with all relevant safety, health, environmental, and industry regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental and sustainability practices in the manufacturing process.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

  • Develop and manage the plant’s operational budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
  • Implement cost-reduction strategies and track expenses to ensure operations stay within budget.
  • Monitor energy consumption, waste reduction, and other cost-related factors to optimize plant efficiency.

Safety and Risk Management:

  • Promote and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures to reduce accidents and injuries.
  • Identify safety hazards and take proactive steps to mitigate risk and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct safety audits and prepare reports on plant safety performance.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and submit regular operational performance reports to senior management, including KPIs, production statistics, and maintenance updates.
  • Analyze operational data and implement strategies to optimize plant performance and throughput.

Maintenance and Equipment Management:

  • Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure timely and effective maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure machinery downtime is minimized by developing and executing preventive maintenance programs.
