Job Title: Operations Manager – Food & Beverage

Reports to: Founder / Director of Operations / CEO

Salary Range: RM 4,500 – RM 5,000 per month (based on experience)

Job Summary:

Halcyon Ventures Sdn Bhd is looking for a hands-on, entrepreneurial Operations Manager – F&B to lead and scale operations across its growing portfolio of food brands. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing cloud kitchen environments with multiple F&B brands, setting up central kitchen systems, and ensuring both operational efficiency and regulatory compliance—including Halal standards. This is a key leadership role in a fast-growing, innovative food startup.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cloud Kitchen & Multi-Brand Operations

Oversee day-to-day operations of a cloud kitchen serving multiple brands and delivery platforms

Coordinate production, order routing, packaging, and dispatch in a high-throughput environment

Maintain quality, hygiene, and service standards across all menus and sales channels

Manage food production, batch cooking, portioning, and hygiene at the central kitchen

Plan output based on brand-specific demand and sales forecasts

Ensure strict compliance with Malaysian food safety and Halal certification requirements

3. Halal Compliance

Ensure all sourcing, preparation, storage, and handling processes comply with Halal standards

Maintain necessary documentation and SOPs for JAKIM Halal certification and audits

Train staff on Halal procedures and integrate compliance checks into daily operations

4. Startup Operations Development

Set up new kitchen operations, including layout planning, equipment procurement, and team building

Develop SOPs for production, food safety, logistics, and quality control

Assist in launching new outlets and expanding brand operations

Source, install, and maintain commercial kitchen equipment

Design kitchen layouts focused on efficiency, safety, and Halal workflow separation

Schedule regular servicing and vendor coordination for equipment upkeep

Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen and operational staff

Drive a culture of accountability, food safety, and continuous improvement

Ensure consistency and performance across all teams and brands

Monitor food and labor costs, optimize resource use, and improve margins

Track daily operational KPIs and identify areas for improvement

Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control initiatives

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Food Technology, or Business (MBA a plus)

Minimum 5 years of F&B operations experience, including cloud kitchens and multi-brand environments

Solid experience in central kitchen management and kitchen equipment infrastructure

Strong understanding of Halal food handling and JAKIM compliance requirements

Knowledge of Malaysian food safety regulations (MOH, HACCP, etc.)

Proficient in POS, kitchen, inventory, and delivery aggregator platforms

Preferred Attributes:

Experience in QSR, delivery-first brands, or fast-casual formats

Practical, process-driven mindset with startup or scale-up experience

Effective leader and communicator, able to work under pressure

Commitment to upholding Halal, hygiene, and brand consistency standards

What We Offer:

Salary: RM 3,500 – RM 5,000 per month (commensurate with experience)
