Job description

Operations Manager (EMS)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end manufacturing operations, including Production, Quality, Engineering, Planning, Purchasing, and Warehouse.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business goals to drive efficiency, productivity, and cost reduction.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products that meet customer specifications and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, IPC standards).
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and initiate corrective actions where necessary.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S) across all operational areas.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Program Management, and Engineering teams to ensure smooth new product introduction (NPI) and scaling to mass production.
  • Oversee resource planning, capacity management, and scheduling to meet production demands efficiently.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop operational teams to achieve high levels of engagement, performance, and retention.
  • Manage budget planning and cost control for operational activities.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations (EHS) and internal company policies.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in EMS or electronics-related industries.
  • Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of SMT, PCB assembly & injection molding processes, and electronic manufacturing standards.
  • Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and operational excellence frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
  • Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and MS Office Suite.
