Job Title: Operations Manager – Gold ATM Division
Location: Menara Public Gold @ TRX, Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur

Job Purpose:

To lead the nationwide and international operations of Public Gold’s rapidly expanding Gold ATM network. This includes overseeing day-to-day operations, coordinating technician teams, managing the deployment of new ATMs, and driving strategic expansion to East Malaysia, Indonesia, and Dubai. The Operations Manager will play a critical role in scaling the Gold ATM infrastructure from 66 units to 200 units across Malaysia by the end of the year.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Gold ATM Operations Oversight
    • Manage daily operations for 66 existing Gold ATM units across West Malaysia.
    • Ensure smooth, secure, and uninterrupted operation of all machines.
    • Supervise regular restocking, machine health checks, and performance monitoring.
    • Drive service excellence by reducing downtime and responding quickly to technical issues.
  2. Expansion & Deployment Management
    • Oversee deployment of an additional 134 Gold ATM units in 2025 to meet the target of 200 units across Malaysia.
    • Plan and manage expansion into East Malaysia (Sabah & Sarawak), including location scouting, compliance checks, and logistics planning.
    • Lead future international expansion into Indonesia and Dubai, including feasibility studies, strategic partnerships, and setup coordination.
  3. Technician Coordination
    • Arrange and schedule technician teams for:
      • New site deployment and physical installation of Gold ATMs.
      • Ongoing hardware maintenance and upgrades.
      • Regular restocking and machine servicing.
    • Ensure proper documentation, route planning, and timely execution of all technical operations.
  4. Strategic Site Identification
    • Identify and evaluate potential locations in high-traffic, high-visibility areas such as malls, airports, petrol stations, and financial hubs.
    • Conduct site visits and feasibility studies in collaboration with the business development team.
    • Negotiate and finalize site agreements with landlords and property managers.
  5. Cross-Functional & Vendor Collaboration
    • Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., marketing, compliance, finance) to ensure deployment readiness.
    • Work with vendors and hardware suppliers for machine procurement, shipping, and technical support.
    • Liaise with local authorities and licensing bodies to ensure regulatory compliance for each deployment.
  6. Risk Management & Compliance
    • Ensure all Gold ATM operations are compliant with SOPs.
    • Proactively monitor and mitigate operational risks such as theft, fraud, technical malfunctions, or restocking errors.
  7. Reporting & Performance Monitoring
    • Maintain comprehensive reports of deployment status, machine uptime, restocking cycles, and technician activity.
    • Analyze ATM performance data to optimize operational efficiency and customer service delivery.
  8. Team Leadership & Growth
    • Lead a growing team of technicians, field operatives, and operations support staff.
    • Provide training, direction, and mentorship to ensure high standards of technical and operational excellence.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Logistics, or related field.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in operations or field deployment roles, ideally with multi-site or machine-based operations.

  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with ATM/kiosk hardware, troubleshooting, and basic IT/networking is highly desirable.

  • Language: Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin or other regional language skills are an advantage.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Strong leadership with hands-on coordination and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven experience in rapid expansion projects or nationwide rollout.

  • Willingness to travel across Malaysia and internationally as the project scales.

  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and work under tight deployment timelines.
