The Operations & Business Support Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire operational ecosystem of the company, including production, supply chain, warehouse, HR & administration, facility maintenance, and factory performance. In addition, this role supports sales functions, manages OPEX and CAPEX planning, and ensures continuous improvement, compliance, and cost efficiency across departments.

Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Management

Position Summary

The Operations & Business Support Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire operational ecosystem of the company, including production, supply chain, warehouse, HR & administration, facility maintenance, and factory performance. In addition, this role supports sales functions, manages OPEX and CAPEX planning, and ensures continuous improvement, compliance, and cost efficiency across departments.

Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Management

· Oversee daily operations across all departments including Production, HR & Admin, Supply Chain, Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics, and Maintenance.

· Ensure smooth integration of operational activities to support production targets and delivery timelines.

· Drive cross-functional coordination and implementation of lean manufacturing and 5S practices.

· Monitor and improve operational KPIs including efficiency, productivity, cost, and delivery performance.

· Ensure all processes comply with safety, health, environmental, and legal standards (JTK, JPP, DOE, etc.).

· Supervise facility and equipment maintenance to prevent downtime and ensure smooth operations.

· Lead and report on renovation projects, equipment installations, and factory setup progress.

2. OPEX & CAPEX Planning

· Prepare, manage, and monitor the Operating Expenditure (OPEX) budget to control costs effectively across departments.

· Plan and oversee Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) projects including acquisition of machinery, infrastructure upgrades, and expansion initiatives.

· Perform ROI analysis and cost-justification for major purchases or investments.

· Work with finance and top management to align expenditure with company goals and available funding.

3. Sales Support & Business Development

· Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to align operational readiness with customer requirements and market demand.

· Participate in customer engagement activities such as factory visits, audits, and technical discussions.

· Support in capacity planning and delivery commitment based on sales forecasts.

· Coordinate with planning and production to ensure timely fulfillment of orders and customer satisfaction.

4. People Leadership & HR Oversight

· Lead and supervise departmental staff to achieve operational excellence.

· Manage recruitment, onboarding, performance appraisals, and development programs in coordination with HR.

· Promote a high-performance culture through coaching, recognition, and corrective action when necessary.

· Ensure smooth coordination with HR & Admin team to comply with labor laws and internal policies.

5. Inventory, Procurement & Cost Control

· Monitor raw material procurement, vendor management, inventory control, and warehouse efficiency.

· Ensure accurate record keeping and periodic stock counts.

· Identify opportunities to reduce cost without compromising quality or performance.

· Maintain optimal stock levels to support production and prevent material shortages.

6. Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

· Implement and monitor quality assurance programs in alignment with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and IATF 16949 standards.

· Coordinate with engineering and quality teams to resolve non-conformities and implement corrective actions.

· Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize productivity, quality, and cost across all departments.

7. Reporting & Communication

· Submit weekly operational performance reports to the Executive Director.

· Prepare monthly review presentations for management covering production, sales support, expenditure tracking (OPEX/CAPEX), and overall performance.

· Communicate clearly and timely with all departments and external stakeholders.

Other Duties

Undertake any other responsibilities or assignments given by top management to support the company’s mission and strategic direction.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven work experience as Operations Manager or similar role in Manufacturing

  • Experienced in the cable and wire industry

  • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management

  • Familiarity with business and financial principles

  • Excellent communication skills
