A leading manufacturing company in Malaysia seeks an Operations Manager to oversee its departmental management and ensure operational excellence. The successful candidate will lead strategic initiatives, improve systems, and develop policies aligned with company objectives. This role requires strong leadership abilities and a solid background in operations management, particularly within the EMS sector.

1. Responsible for the overall management of the following departments,
a. Manufacturing Operation
c. Production
d. Material
2. Reporting to VP (EMS Division) and serving as a member of the Management Team this position’s primary responsibility is ensuring organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for the operations functions.
3. Working with the management team, the position also contributes to the development and implementation of the organizational strategies, policies and practices.
4. Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support in organizations mission specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, and organizational planning.
5. Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
6. Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between functions.
7. Drive initiatives in the management team and organizationally that contribute to long-term operational excellence.
8. Contribute to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the management team.
9. Lead manufacturing organization for establishing teamwork and morale.
10. Promote a positive environment for staff address any issues that are creating barriers to an optimal work environment.
11. Enforce departmental goals and procedures by discussing with organizational officials.
12. Implement manufacturing operations strategy in alignment with company plan and customer needs.
13. Staff management and development.
14. Engage, direct, support persons to contribute to the effectiveness of QMS and EMS.
15. Promote improvement activities.
16. Support other relevant management roles to demonstrate their leadership as it applies to their areas of responsibility.
17. Ensure the responsibilities and authorities for relevant roles are assigned, communicated, and understood within organization.
Job requirements
Proven track record of at least 2-3 years in an operations management role, preferably in the EMS manufacturing.
Degree in Engineering or Business Management or Operations Management or a related field.
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and strategic planning skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Strong analytical and data-driven approach to decision-making.

These include the latest Injection Moulding Machines, which is the "UH 1000 Series" of Super Precision Ultra High Speed & Pressure Injection Moulding Systems (for Super - Thin Wall & Long Flow precision parts) which having the following features: 10 times injection speed than the ordinary machine. Build in "SPC" control on moulding conditions. Our EMS division for box build operations is also poised for growth. As of today, CPI has produced over 1000 items of different products for various industries such as Telecommunication, Computer, Electrical and Electronics, Automotive, Leisure Marine Industry and also other Industrial plastics parts, that caters for local and as well as export market such as the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Switzerland, USA, Italy, Japan, China, Taiwan and Indonesia.
