Job description

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive Operations Executive to ensure smooth operational processes and support impactful advocacy initiatives. In this role, you will help shape a more sustainable future through operational excellence and effective stakeholder engagement. This is a mission-driven role offering you the chance to drive positive change within ProVeg Malaysia and the broader food system.

Tasks

Operational and Administrative Support (70%)

  • Serve as a key communication link between stakeholders, partners, and internal team members.

  • Draft, edit, and distribute internal memos, newsletters, and external press releases.

  • Compile and maintain program activity and operational reports.

  • Support OKR (Objectives and Key Results) tracking and summarise performance data.

  • Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and generate financial reports.

Policy Advocacy and Institutional Engagement (30%)

  • Assist in advancing plant-based dietary policies and sustainable food initiatives.

  • Support the development of partnerships with institutions, encouraging plant-based meal adoption.

  • Assist in organising campaigns, events, and workshops to promote sustainable eating

Requirements

Required:

  • At least 1-2 years of professional experience in a relevant role (business administration, business operations,

  • Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, business administration, communications, or a related field.

  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Experience with performance tracking, reporting, and budgeting tools.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Proficient written skills in Malay.

  • Passion for plant-based advocacy and sustainability.

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in advocacy, NGOs, SDGs, ESG or food sustainability initiatives.

  • Familiarity with OKR frameworks and financial monitoring systems.
