Job summary

A logistics company in Ipoh is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to plan and coordinate daily truck operations. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain, with 1-2 years of experience in the field. Strong knowledge of trucking operations, good communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office are essential. This role also involves preparing operations reports and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily truck movements for haulage operations.
• Receive and process job orders from customers, ensuring timely allocation of trucks and drivers.
• Arrange and assign drivers based on availability, route, and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with customers to confirm job orders, delivery status, and any special requirements.
• Coordinate with workshop/maintenance team to ensure vehicle readiness and minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, transport regulations, and company SOPs.
• Proactively resolve operational issues, delays, or driver shortages to minimize service disruptions.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operations reports for management review.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, or equivalent.
• Minimum 1–2 years of working experience in haulage, trucking, or logistics planning (fresh graduates may be considered for junior roles).
• Strong knowledge of trucking operations, routing, and scheduling.
• Good communication skills (English & Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage to liaise with China counterpart).
• Proficient in MS Office and logistics/transport management systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills, able to work under pressure and handle last-minute changes.
• Team player with high level of responsibility and attention to detail.
