Job summary

Celestica is seeking an Operations Engineering Support 2 to join our manufacturing and product development teams in Malaysia. You will perform complex troubleshooting, test setup, and repairs on electromechanical assemblies, guided by engineers and blueprints.

The role emphasizes reliability, documentation, and collaboration across design and manufacturing groups. You will read schematics, analyze components, and maintain test equipment while ensuring quality standards and timely issue

Qualifications

Requires exposure to electrical, electromechanical and pneumatic systems.
Able to read and interpret schematics and mechanical drawings.
Experience with testing, debugging and repair of electromechanical products.

Responsibilities

Reads and analyzes schematic diagrams, circuit descriptions and similar technical information.
Troubleshoots and repairs failed products.
Inspects for physical and visual quality requirements; isolates and replaces faulty components.
Sets up, operates, and adjusts test sets and auxiliary equipment.
Proves tests and test sets.
Troubleshoots and repairs test equipment/fixture problems.
Performs reactive maintenance on electromechanical surface mount assembly equipment.
With guidance from experienced engineers, conducts testing, debugging and design verification of prototypes.
Works with product specs and drawings to assemble, test, debug, repair and modify prototypes.
