  • Technical Oversight & Translation: Serve as the primary bridge between commodity teams and software developers by converting complex mechanical, quality, and supply chain requirements into clear logic for automated tools.
  • Tool Deployment & Validation: Oversee the testing, validation (UAT), and deployment of internal software tools, Python scripts, and enterprise AI workflows across engineering teams.
  • System Testing & Validation: Design and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on newly deployed AI agents to verify functional accuracy, reliability, and repeatability across engineering datasets.
  • Intern Supervision & Architecture: Provide technical guidance, code review, and project coordination for a dedicated team of software interns building custom automation solutions.
  • Knowledge Management: Maintain clear documentation, tool repositories, and revision histories to ensure long-term sustainability and smooth continuity across intern cohorts.
  • Software Literacy & Scripting:Proficiency in Python and basic software workflows; ability to write, debug, and evaluate code for data processing and API integrations.
  • Digital Tools & Automation: Familiarity with standard software development practices (version control, revision tracking via Git) and enterprise AI capabilities (e.g., Gemini, LLM APIs).
  • Engineering Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, technical drawings, GD&T, material specs, and standard quality frameworks (DFM, PPAP, FMEA).
  • Problem Solving & Supervision: Strong analytical skills with the ability to coordinate junior developers, prioritize project backlogs, and translate user feedback into tool enhancements.
  • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required by project needs.
Typical Experience
  • Experience: 5–8 years of working experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or technical supply chain environment, with demonstrated involvement in scripting or software automation projects.
