Job description

We are looking for an Operations Engineer who will plan, coordinate, execute, monitor, and manage various onshore activities and offshore operations during an offshore construction project.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Review and familiarize with contract documents, specifications, and drawings related to operations under supervision.
2. Coordinate all project vessel requirements and movements with the Marine Superintendent, Project Logistics Coordinator, and relevant vessels.
3. Monitor the progress of work and site conditions, advising the Project Management Team and Marine Division of any developments affecting schedule or execution.
4. Liaise with Project Managers during project execution to ensure customer and project management requirements are met.
5. Review technical procedures related to the project, including erection, layout, lifting, load out, sea fastening, and offshore installation activities.
6. Assist in reviewing the project plan and preparing subcontract packages for outsourced work.
7. Coordinate with operational personnel to ensure engineering and draft works are performed according to specifications and schedule.
8. Supervise the detailing/drafting department on construction and installation drawings and ensure proper documentation, including as-built drawings.
9. Input lessons learned throughout the project into the Lessons Learned Database.
10. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures among all procedures, subordinates, and subcontractors.
11. Assign adequate engineering personnel and equipment resources to operations.
12. Review and approve installation procedures and engineering to meet project requirements and safety standards.
13. Supervise Senior Field Engineers and Field Engineers in offshore project planning and execution.
14. Oversee the preparation of material lists for construction and liaise with Procurement for timely procurement.
15. Resolve technical problems during offshore installation and assist with corrective actions.
16. Advise design engineers on offshore operations requirements during the design phase and coordinate engineering matters.
17. Contribute to the tender process as needed.
