Job description

We are seeking an operations leader to oversee and direct activities across the South East Asia and Far East regions, with the goal of efficiently producing and delivering quality products in a timely, environmentally responsible, and safe manner. The role also involves driving continuous improvement in performance metrics through lean manufacturing and other initiatives.

This position manages manufacturing plants and supply chains in Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, and Korea, along with distribution operations across multiple South East Asian countries.

The role reports to the VP of Global Operations for the Materials Solution Division and is based in the South East Asia region (Thailand, Malaysia, or Vietnam).

Key responsibilities include:

  • People leadership: designing the operating organization to meet business needs, developing successors, leading multi-site teams, and managing staff performance and development.
  • Operational leadership: ensuring safety, health, and environmental standards; improving supply chain performance; implementing best practices; and developing customer relationships.
  • Driving continuous improvement through cross-functional initiatives, managing change, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Desired capabilities and experiences:

  • Leadership experience in manufacturing within the Chemical, Pharma, or Food industry.
  • Strong team management and development skills.
  • Hands-on experience with best-in-class supply chain practices.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders and influence cross-functional actions.
