The Impact You’ll Make

Join Lam as an Operations Business Analyst, where you'll spearhead process improvement initiatives. With your data expertise, you collect and analyze data through a range of Business Intelligence (BI) tools and apps, develop metrics, and identify root causes with data-driven indicators for future improvements. Organizing cross-functional project teams, you communicate team progress and survey best practices, showcasing your commitment to operational excellence at Lam.

What You’ll Do

As a Data Science & Analytics Analyst Lead in the Global Operations organization at Lam Research, you will be responsible for implementing Data Science and Analytics solutions to support decision-making and scale operations. You will work directly with various business units within Global Operations to solve their business problems and identify opportunities, develop business requirement documentation, and formulate proof of concepts with back testing. Collaboration with data architecture, business units, and development teams is essential. You will also work with application and business development teams to design complex solutions aligned with the COE data principles, standards, and strategies.

• Lead data science and analytics strategic plans, support enterprise data and analytics initiatives for Global Operations in line with Lam’s guidelines.
• Manage and organize data science, architecture, and analytics programs aligned with business goals.
• Develop scalable business processes and analytic programs to meet business objectives.
• Apply continuous improvement methodologies, including lean and agile development, to advance analytics solutions.
• Build and maintain professional relationships across all levels, managing customer relations and collaborating with business partners.
• Lead activities to ensure transparency and timely delivery of project milestones.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years with a Master’s; or 5 years with a PhD; or equivalent experience.
• Experience in building AI/ML solutions, data science, and analytics strategies across business units.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction from warehouses like data factory, data fabric, synapse, SAP HANA, ABAP, SQL Server.
• Knowledge of SAP ECC/S4 or other ERP systems including Material and Vendor Master, Purchasing, MRP, Order Management, BOM, Logistics, Spares, Warehouse.
• Expertise in AI/ML and statistics, using tools like Python, R, PowerBI, MS Excel, SQL Data models.
• Ability to present data insights effectively to decision-makers and large audiences.
• Skill in developing meaningful metrics supporting enterprise strategies.
• Ability to create clear, concise reports in various formats including PDF, Word, PowerBI.
