Job description

Are you a passionate and motivated individual eager to support the L&H business globally on strategic and operational topics?

In this role you will help and contribute to facilitating a robust operating platform, coordinating operational activities and supporting delivery of initiatives and projects (strategically and operationally) across Operations & Advisory (COO), Underwriting (CUO) and Market Units of L&H Re.

You will need financial acumen, analytical and project management skills and be able to collaborate effectively across multi-functional and global teams.

About the Role

  • You will be working in a fast-paced environment, providing support to the DOOs in the L&H Executive Office team on a broad range of strategic and operational topics:
  • Run and prepare standard reports, making available required attributes to facilitate performance monitoring and steering by MDs and their leadership teams
  • Provide qualitative and quantitative analysis on key operational topics e.g. cost management, operational risks management actions follow up
  • Support the preparation of presentation materials for management meeting, update to management committees, townhalls, as well as internal and external events
  • Assist in implementation and project management of projects and initiatives
  • Collate internal and external data, analyse and make recommendations to support business decisions
  • Expect to collaborate closely with team members in other regions (Europe / North America) and occasionally to attend meetings in CET time zone.

About the Team

The DOOs are the business partners to the MDs and their leadership team to drive, challenge and support diverse range of topics from strategy and operations to people & culture. The Operations Analyst is an individual contributor and reports to the Head DOO & Assistants L&H APAC as part of the L&H Executive Office team within the L&H Re Division Operations & Advisory.

About You

  • Experience working in the re/insurance industry and good understanding of the Life & Health business
  • Self-starter with a high level of integrity, able to deal with sensitive and critical information.
  • Good financial competence and solid analytical skills with the ability to recommend insights from diverse data sources
  • Good communication, project management and planning skills to coordinate and support the execution of a portfolio of activities
  • Proficient user of Microsoft applications including MS Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Knowledge of database analytic and visualization tools, e.g. SQL, Access, Power BI, Stargate
  • Good knowledge of Swiss Re information and reporting systems
  • Excellent English language skills
